Philip de László Paints Venice

Philip Alexius de László (1869–1937) was a dashing portrait painter of a hundred years ago, a contemporary of Sargent. In this video, narrated by his son, we can watch him paint a plein-air study of the bronze horses in Venice, while fending off the friendly ribbing of his wife.
